General Assembly session winds down, a bill supported by some Triad logistics executives has lost momentum. House Bill 746, sponsored by state Rep. Marcus Brandon of Guilford County, seeks to block insurers from limiting or denying fleet vehicle insurance based on the criminal records of drivers. The bill would make it easier for trucking companies to hire drivers with a record, but has not progressed since April. Trucking companies together employ thousands of people in the Triad, but trucking firms have long complained about how difficult it can be to find drivers....
